Confessions of a casino pit boss - Travel - Travel Tips | NBC News

craps pit boss
However, the pit boss yelled out “No roll” and the shooter proceeded to roll a 7 three rolls later. My question is: Was I screwed by the pit boss.
If you hear cheering it's most likely coming from the Craps table. Craps is usually the most. The Pit Boss acts like the CEO for the casino floor.

craps pit boss Here is the question: what does it mean if your player's position on the pit boss computer terminal is flagged red?
In my specific situation all other players at the table who had player https://krimket.com/blackjack/spongebob-blackjack-wiki.html and being tracked were colored green.
My dot with my name clearly visible was colored red.
Why was I being flagged red by the pit boss?
What are they tracking on that system which would color-code players differently?
The question is bothering me because no other player was flagged red.
If you know the answer to what the player colors mean craps pit boss context there is no need to read any further.
If the situation requires context then here is the backstory: This last weekend my wife and I took a quick 2 day trip to Fremont to play craps.
I had a great run of luck and overall we had a great time.
My wife and I are courteous players, we tip the staff, we drink and laugh and talk with the dealers.
We are, however, good at bank roll management and bet read more, so I will say we play to win, not to just throw money around on "bad bets".
We also have a friendly competition on who wins more since we both have very different playing styles.
I have never had a player's card before, but this weekend I decided to get a card at each casino or casino group when I bought in.
So this was the first time I have played craps being tracked with a card.
I often saw them shaking their heads when talking about me.
It was obvious they were laser-focused on what I was betting.
I just took it to mean they were curious how lucky I was getting since I had a great run.
When we left we headed to Main Street briefly, and this is where my wife noticed something.
We were positioned to the left of the stickman in a way that the bosses computer screen was visible.
We could see all the players who were being tracked.
Unfortunately only one name was RED, mine.
here has worried me ever since seeing it because I was obviously being flagged for some reason.
After we left I looked at the back of my player's card from California and it turns out the Fremont, California, and Main Street Station are all owned by Boyd Gaming.
I did not know this at the time.
So California and Main Street share https://krimket.com/blackjack/craps-table-manufacturers.html same tracking system and something I did at California made them flag me red before we even got to Main Street.
Was it purely from my lucky streak and costing the casino money?
Was it something else?
Here is a nice photo I snapped just before walking into the California for the 1st time: I don't know maybe TDV or SR will chime in.
The best place for this answer would be the Wizard of Vegas forum, which you should also join.
Maybe red meant you were the only winner at the table?
Were you setting dice and using a controlled throw?
If it was me and I was curious.
I don't know what answer you will get.
See what they say.
Could be a very innocent reason for it.
I know Boyd gaming has one card.
You said you went to 3 of their properties.
Weren't you issued one card that applies to all 3?
B-Connected I have one generic Boyd "B-Connected" card ruby, sapphire or emerald?
If you were at the California and used a Boyd card.
Or does each downtown property issue a separate card?
I'll take a guess at this one.
From how its been explained to me over the years when I questioned casino staff, the casino wants a true rating of the player and the best time to do that is while the player is playing on his money.
Once a player is up a bunch, they no longer get an accurate way the player bets.
And I guess if the player loses quickly and quits, they know he isn't a gambler willing to risk much.
I will also take a guess.
I'm guessing this guy wants to here from someone that KNOWS.
What good does your "GUESS" do him.
If you don't know, don't guess Ma'am.
I don't know, but he I'm guessing it's something really sleazy.
Come to think of it, lets everyone take a "STAB" at it, let your imagination run wild, don't cut them any slack.
I was not setting dice or trying any controlled throw.
I think it could be a very innocent reason, just would like to know what.
Also very craps pit boss on the gaming card.
At the time I didn't know they were all Boyd so when Source went to MSS they printed a new one since I said I don't have a card from them.
So I now have 2 Bconnected cards with identical player.
Also others at the table were betting much less and they had green dots.
Your guess that I just got to table https://krimket.com/blackjack/red-dead-redemption-1-blackjack.html interesting since we were the newest players to join table at MSS you jugar blackjack en casino opinion since it was 4am noone else joined after us.
Can anyone confirm this guess?
Anyone work at tables before who knows for sure?
Speaking of players cards, I suggested the "CHUMPS" card idea to my casino, and I guess they liked it.
My new "CHUMPS" card came in the mail today.
It's the same as the NOIR card, but with Craps pit boss Simpson's portrait ghosted on the front.
I bet the ladies will be very impressed, when I flash this baby.
All I can do is guess but which ever player is brought up on the screen so the pit can enter information most likely shows up as a different color.
Or it could be because your play at the different properties triggered the threshold amount where they had to watch in case they needed your SS to file the required gubbermint paperwork if you went over 10K in a 24 hour period.
According to Barney's suppercomputer, you got a your name in red either because you have a lower level card since you just got it compared to the other ploppies or security saw you take pictures outside of the casino and thought you might be related to Full Press so they put out a warning to all of Boyd's casino to keep their eye on you.

I once saw my name on the screen, and blackjack andy had a middle finger next to it.
I think that means "good luck" in casino lingo, bade, Welcome to the board.
Looks like you were drawing the most interest when you were able to collect some of their chips.
Never having had a card, I have no idea how they track things, but obviously they want to know what you buy-in for, what kind of wagers you make, and how long you play for.
Depending on how these things track, they will offer you some gratis - anything from a few bucks and a cheap bottle of booze up to the red carpet treatment.
You mentioned that you and the boss play very different games.
Did she do any good?
I tried contacting an old acquaintance of mine and my bil who was a dealer then pit boss for over 30 years in both AC and vegas, the contact info didn't work, I was curious as to what the red and green might have meant, not that they used the same system way back when and even as current as craps pit boss worked, but he hasn't been working for years, so it might be a moot point even if I find correct contact info.
Tell him you write for a gambling blog and someone asked the question.
I never played in Maryland live and I asked the pit boss if I could take pictures of the hybrid, explaining I want to write about it on an online gambling forum and he said, ok, Im going to turn my head for a minute, do what you have to do.

Real casino dice, but all betting is done on same terminals as bubble craps.
I posted it somewhere, first rule says no dice setting allowed.

That no dice setting rule, seems to be in conflict with the DI doesn't work theory.
